ANGELS BASEBALL RIDDLE CONTEST
Congratulations Jackson, age 12, for answering the riddle correctly & winning the drawing!
The answer was “Brian Billick”
Redlands children can win six “Diamond Club” behind-home plate tickets and two V.I.P. parking passes to the Angels vs. Tigers baseball game Sunday, May 14 at 12:30 p.m.
There will be a new riddle every month throughout baseball season.
To enter, figure out the riddle and send your answer, name, age and phone number to email@example.com or take it to the Young Readers’ Room at the A.K. Smiley Public Library.
Only 6- to 12-year-old children who live in Redlands may enter. All correct answers will be entered into a random drawing. One entry per child will be valid.
Answers must be submitted by May 11 and the winner will be notified May 12. The contest is co-sponsored by the Rochford Foundation, A.K. Smiley Library and The Daily Facts.
Winner of the Redlands Kids Riddle Contest for the month of April was Eason Lu, age 8, who won the drawing with his correct answer “Old Greyback.”
There is a guy from Redlands High
On football fields he was inspired.
He set the record for interceptions—
His number was retired!
He played pro ball, but most of all
As coach he thrilled the fans.
He gets the game, he knows the score.
Just ask the folks from Baltimore:
He took their team from down in the hole
To victory at the Super Bowl!
Now if you want to understand
The players, teams and strategy
He’ll let you know- just read his blog
Or turn on your TV!
He’ll talk you through the draft, the game…..
Now it’s your turn—what’s his name?
